Every once in a while, as most parents have learned, your kids take over your day. This is what happened to us this past saturday. Sean had to be at the scout hut to meet with his patrol for a field trip with forester Michael Boone. His patrol is working on the Forestry merit badge, and we had been trying to arrange this meeting between his patrol and Michael Boone for about a month. We met at the scout hut at 7:45 am, left at 8:10, and went to some woods of hwy 9 in Seamon,AL. There Sean and his patrol learned about forestry and what it takes to do that job, and become one. We got back to the scout hut at11. Sean and I then had to run home and change so we could all go with Harley to get her to her Gymnastics recital by 12:45. We then had a late lunch with Leslie's mom, and my siblings. The kids and my Siblings went from Red Robin to the movies to see "how to train your dragon". Lesile and I took her mom home who was now ready for a nap. I had to close the store because there was no one else to work it in my absence, and sometimes events with our children and families are more important than work.
